TWEEL
The guys over at CrunchGear recently had a post featuring a new set of wheels.
…D’Vinci Forgiato Radurra wheels…made from 2-inch thick polycarbonate….They’ll be available for about $2,000…
We thought it would be really cool if we showed you something a little more exciting.
What you are about to see is something called the TWEEL. The TWEEL is a revolutionary tyre that was unveiled by Michelin recently. The TWEEL uses no air and therefore there is no question of it bursting or becoming flat.
Here are a couple of pics of the TWEEL in action.
With such innovation it is no surprise that Michelin was awarded the Gold Medal for Innovation by The Intermat innovation commission in Paris.

Its a brilliant idea and I am surprised nobody thought of it before. Obviously if it takes off then they would have to have a new set of tests for MOT testing.

Well this set of wheels is scheduled to be out by next year or so. So they must have these tests in mind too!
